ALOT Step 2

This step is where the basic shape of the boat is drawn on the sides.  The key points that define the shape are measured and drawn.   A nail is then driven at that point for an "x" marks the spot mark.    A thin batten (1/8"x3/4") is then used to connect the points together. A pencil line is then drawn on the edge of the batten.  There is a bit of experimentation needed to get the batten through the points and held in place.  Heavy objects, extra nails can really help with this.




The object is to end up with a line that is nice and smooth, without any wrinkles.
